At the Population Association of America's Annual Meeting in New Orleans I presented a preliminary version of my paper, "Hurricanes, Hoarding and Replacement: Estimating the Causal Effect of Mortality on Fertility," on the effect of mortality on fertility using exposure to hurricanes to identify exogenous changes in mortality.
